TD-SCDMA Update

- Following the first two batches of TD-SCDMA numbers released in October and November, China's Ministry of Information Industry has approved another batch of numbers to be released starting from mid December. All 13 operators participating in TD-SCDMA trials will be engaged in this phase of the project.
- Chinese mobile phone maker Ningbo Bird plans to inject US$38 million into the development of TD-SCDMA mobile phones. Ningbo Bird has completed two TD-SCDMA designs and is currently working on a third.
